The Day AI Became My Consulting Team
By Ciprian NafornitaThe Day AI Became My Consulting Team
A few months ago, I was walking the shop floor and watched people manually handling empty pallets — bending all the way to ground level, lifting, stacking, repeating. Same motion. Same strain. Same risk.
And I had one of those moments:
"There must be a machine out there that does this."
So I started digging.
The Search for a Better Way
My first thought was the obvious one: reach trucks. But reach trucks need an operator at all times, and they're not built for quick, repetitive empty-pallet handling.
So I kept looking. Alibaba → random suppliers → niche equipment → and then —
A pallet stacker that lifts pallets directly from ground level. Exactly the motion I wanted to eliminate.
From there, I hunted for UK suppliers and found the brand Palomat , a manufacturer that actually makes the type of stacker I had in mind.
Great — I'd found the machine.
Now came the real challenge: how do you build a business case strong enough to convince leadership?
Where AI Stepped In
"This is the part that surprised even me."
Instead of trying to figure everything out alone, I used AI like a mini consulting team — each "role" stress-testing a different angle of the project.
The Outcome
The project was never just about a machine. It was about what the machine unlocks:
→ Fewer sickness absences → Fewer manual-handling injuries → Reduced operational waste → Faster pallet turnaround → A more modern workplace → Long-term financial savings → A scalable automation model
It all started with noticing a problem on the shop floor — and using AI as a consulting team to build a business case strong enough to stand in front of leadership.
The Bigger Message
This project taught me something important:
AI isn't just a tool — it's a consultant.
It's a way for one person to think like a team of specialists. And it's how ideas that start on the shop floor can turn into strategic proposals.
Innovation doesn't always start in a boardroom. Sometimes it starts with someone watching pallets being lifted manually and thinking: "There must be a better way."
💬 Have you ever used AI as a "team" to build a case for change at work? I'd love to hear how.
🟢 Spotlight: Homeopathy356 by Sorin Badulescu
This edition’s spotlight features Homeopathy365 , developed by Sorin Badulescu — a smart, simple app for anyone exploring natural remedies with more clarity and confidence.
Think of it as a personal consultant for anyone who wants guidance on herbs, teas, natural treatments, and alternative wellness approaches… without having to dig through endless articles or guess what actually works.
What makes it interesting is the positioning: It doesn’t try to replace medical advice. It doesn’t pretend to be a doctor. It acts like a structured advisor — giving users clarity, options, and explanations in a way that feels like talking to a knowledgeable consultant.
It’s simple, clean, and built with the same mindset I used in this edition: AI as a consultant. Not a gimmick — a tool that helps people make better decisions.
Arthur’s Lab is quietly building useful things, and this app is one of those projects that deserves a bit of light.
If you’re into natural remedies or just curious about structured wellness guidance, this is one to keep an eye on.
